Want a simple but professional-looking shot of a single piece of birthday cake on a plate. The shot should easily convey the idea of birthdays and should be able to apply to any age or gender (e.g. not super specific to a young girl's birthday.)
I am picturing a triangular-shaped piece (cut from a round cake), but a square piece would probably work if it looks nice and you already have it.
No preference on the type/color of cake or icing but the piece should be alone on the plate, and should look neat, colorful and appetizing. It should be standing up properly. A single lit candle on top would be good to make it clear that it is a piece of birthday cake.
